Padma Awards to professors Deepak Dhar and KN Ganesh



PUNE: Professor Emeritus Deepak Dhar from Indian Institute of Science Education and Analysis, Pune was conferred Padma Bhushan Award lately, and Founder Director of IISER Pune, Ok N Ganesh was conferred Padma Shri Award. Each the awards had been conferred within the subject of Science and Engineering.
Padma Awards are one of many highest civilian awards of India, and are conferred in three classes, particularly, Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri. The awards are introduced on the event of Republic Day (January 26) yearly. For the yr 2023, a complete of six Padma Vibhushan, 9 Padma Bhushan and 91 Padma Shri Awards have been introduced.
Dhar is a physicist with a long-standing analysis profession within the space statistical physics and stochastic processes. An alumnus of College of Allahabad and IIT Kanpur, he had acquired his PhD in 1978 on the California Institute of Know-how.
