NEW DELHI: Samsung launched its first Fan Edition smartphone in India in 2020. The company launched the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE (Fan Edition) smartphone in September 2020. The smartphone offered all the high-end specifications at an affordable price. After this, the company launched the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE earlier this year after a lot of delay. However, now it appears that Samsung is done with the Fan Editions and is now planning to kill the series.
According to an online report by Sammobile, Samsung is reportedly all set to shelve its Galaxy FE series after two years. Citing multiple sources the report mentions that the company is not planning to carry forward the Galaxy FE series, so there will be no Samsung Galaxy S22 FE edition. The report also adds that it is quite unlikely that the company may launch any FE models in the future.
As per report, Samsung is finding it difficult to position the Galaxy FE smartphones in its product lineup. The company was earlier planning to launch the Fan Edition of Samsung Galaxy S22, but it later cancelled the plan.
Samsung Galaxy FE series was a good option for the users who wanted flagship grade features at a lesser price.
Meanwhile, Samsung is all set to launch its latest Galaxy F-series of smartphones in India. The company is expected to launch the Samsung Galaxy F13 smartphone in the country next week.
Samsung Galaxy F13 is said to sport a triple rear camera and is tipped to be powered by an octa-core Exynos chipset. The affordable smartphone is rumoured to house a 6000 mAh battery.
