PRAYAGRAJ: Similar to the trend in class 10 board exams, girls have again outshined the boys in class 12 board exam 2022 conducted by Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Siksha Parishad, popularly known as UP Board. A total of 85.33% of the students who have been declared successful, the passing percentage of girls was 90.15% whereas that of boys, it was 81.21%.

Director (secondary education) and chairperson, Madhyamik Siksha Parishad (UP Board), Sarita Tiwari announced the results here on Saturday.

Divyanshi of Jai Maa SGMIC Radha Nagar Fatehpur school has topped the class 12th board exam securing 95.40% marks. She scored 477 out of 500 marks.

The second place was shared by Anshika Yadav of Baccha Ram Yadav Inter College Prayagraj and Yogesh Pratap Singh of Sri Sai International College Barabanki. Both the students have scored 95% marks which is 475 out of 500.

At the third place is Balkrishna of SBMICR Fatehpur. He has scored 471 out of 500 which is 94.20%. At the fourth place are four students from different colleges. These include Prakhar Pathak of Shri NLKV International College Kanpur Nagar, Jeeya Mishra of SP Inter College Prayagraj, Anchal Yadav of Baccha Ram Yadav Inter College Prayagraj and Abhimanyu Verma of Shri Sai International College Barabanki. All the students have scored 94% marks which is 470 out of 500.

A total of 22,37,578 students had appeared in the class 12th board exams out of which 19,09,249 (85.33% ) have been declared successful. Among the successful candidates, 9,80,543 are boys while 9,28,706 are girls. The passing percentage of girls is 8.94% more than boys.

In comparison to the last 5 years, the result of class 12 of 2022 is the best with 85.3% as compared to the exam held in 2020. 74.63% students has cleared class 12 in 2020. In comparison to 2020, 12.33% more boys have cleared class 12th whereas 8.19% more girls have cleared class 12th board exam. 2.1% of students have cleared class 12th with distinction whereas 7.58% have cleared board with first division.

If district wise board results are to be seen, Banda had topped the list with 95.32% overall pass percentage followed by Hamirpur at second place with 93.01%. Lucknow with 92.16% is at third place whereas Ghaziabad with 92.12% is at number four and Amroha is at fifth place in the overall merit list with 91.95% of overall pass percentage.
