Vivo unveiled the V23 series in India in January 2022 and the company is now planning to expand the V lineup. The Chinese smartphone maker is now working on the Vivo V25 series. According to GizmoChina, some details about the upcoming device’s specifications and release date have been tipped online. The Vivo V23 5G features a 6.44-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display and 64MP triple rear camera setup. The handset comes powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset, backed with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage along with a 50MP front camera. The V23 also packs a 4200mAh battery unit that supports 44W fast charging and runs on Funtouch OS 12 based on Android 12. Both upcoming smartphones are also likely to have identical rear camera modules.
Vivo V25 series expected price and availability
The report suggests that the company is planning to release the V25 series (that includes — Vivo V25 and Vivo V25 Pro smartphones) in India in mid-July. The upcoming handsets will be Vivo’s latest mid-range devices and are expected to be priced around Rs 30,000 to Rs 40,000. However, this is a speculated pricing and the official prices are likely to be revealed by the company soon.
Vivo V25 series expected specifications
The Vivo V25 Pro is expected to sport a 6.56-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display that will support a 120Hz refresh rate. As per the report, the V25 Pro will have three different RAM and storage variants. The smartphone will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 SoC backed with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage.
The upcoming handset is expected to house a triple-rear camera setup which will include — a 50MP Sony IMX766V primary sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP portrait sensor. The Pro variant of the series is also expected to feature a 32MP front camera for selfies and video calls. The V25 Pro is likely to pack a 4,500mAh battery that may support 80W fast charging.
On the other hand, the vanilla V25 device is expected to be powered by either the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor or the Dimensity 1200 chipset. The base model is likely to get a 16MP selfie camera. This device is also supposed to pack a 4,500mAh battery unit but may support either 44W or 66W fast charging.
